What is the purpose of the Observatory ?

The Corporate Parenthood Observatory develops and coordinates a network of key people concerned with the issue of parenthood in companies. The Observatory seeks to promote a better balance between the professional and personal lives of employees.

The Corporate Parenthood Observatory was launched with a dual mission :

  • To persuade a growing number of companies to sign the Corporate Parenthood Charter.
  • To ensure that signature of the Charter results in the implementation of concrete actions by the companies concerned.

The objectives of the Observatory are as follows :

  • To collect, analyse and publish information, documents and studies on the issue of parenthood in companies and more broadly all themes linked to the balance between personal and professional life.
  • To support its members in their reflections and actions and to provide them with the necessary tools to succeed.
  • To encourage the sharing of information about their respective experiences between members of the association.
  • To identify and share "the best policies" implemented in France and abroad.
  • To lead think-tank groups by bringing together company representatives, experts, university professors and sociologists.
  • To raise the awareness of politicians, economists and social and institutional leaders in relation to the issues of corporate parenthood and, in a broader sense, employees’ working conditions and the balance between professional and personal life.
  • To facilitate the creation of partnerships with key people and networks in France, Europe and beyond.

The 4 categories of concrete actions defined by the Observatory :

·       Services aimed at making employees’ daily life more harmonious

·       Financial support for working parents

·       Work organization

·       HR and Management support
